Et tu, Brute?

Well winter has sprung upon us here in Provo, in the guise of a winter storm the weather channel decided to name Brutus (I didn't know they were allowed to name non tropical storms). It started coming down as rain on Friday morning when Meagan had to take me to school before she went to tutor because there had been a power outage during the night that had knocked out Marilyn's router. I can't really work without internet so I had to go to the Wilk in the rain. That rain became snow later in the day, and when we arrived home from my class in the afternoon we found Marilyn outside with a neighbor, Eddie (the sunday school president). Marilyn was putting plastic on her car (which she does to keep it from frosting on the windshield) and Eddie was scooping behind her car. There was only probably half an inch to an inch of snow. I helped Eddie finish up. It kept snowing, that night Meagan and I went to see Divine Comedy which was really funny. When we came out Alberta was covered in snow, I had to brush her off and my feet go soaked because I had neglected to wear my boots.

The next morning when I got up I went and looked outside, there was a ton of snow, at least six inches covered the cars and the driveway. The driveway is not that big, but it is bigger than it seems when you have to scoop 6 inches of snow off it and you can't throw it hardly any place so you have to carry every scoop over to the yard. Meagan helped me scoop off some of it. There was so much I scooped it off of Marilyn's car instead of using the brush.

The best part of the whole thing was that after we finished grocery shopping and going to the library we got to stay inside the rest of the day and drink hot chocolate, eat pumpkin bread and read. It was a lot of fun, and we decided not to go to the football game because we have been sick and we didn't want to make it come back, so we stayed home and I made pumpkin shakes and we played Dominion and watched a movie. It is nice to have it cold outside when you get to be warm and happy inside :)
